PANGYO, Korea (December 5, 2024) – NCSOFT has officially launched its latest idle MMORPG, Journey of Monarch, simultaneously in 241 countries worldwide.

The global release took place at midnight at the end of December 4 for players from Korea, Taiwan, Japan, North America, Europe, and beyond to join the game. Journey of Monarch offers a seamless cross-play experience, playable on PC via PURPLE and on mobile devices (iOS and Android).

Journey of Monarch brings a fresh approach to the Lineage IP, featuring a flexible character progression system removing the need for real-time competitive play, while retaining the iconic features of the Lineage universe. With immersive 3D graphics and a unique gameplay style, the game reimagines the core elements of the Lineage franchise.

Taking on the role of the monarch, Depardieu, players will explore a richly crafted world designed by Faylor from Lineage W. Along their journey, players can summon heroes from across the entire Lineage series, assembling powerful decks of up to eight heroes to support their adventure.

To celebrate the global release, NCSOFT is hosting the Monarch Code event, enabling players to earn exclusive rewards redeemable in Lineage M, Lineage 2M, and Lineage W. Additional launch activities include attendance checks, special in-game mail, and event dungeons where players can obtain valuable items and in-game currency. Future updates will introduce Castle Siege, a signature feature of the Lineage franchise.
