NCSOFT Unveils Key Content of ‘UNIVERSE’, Combining IT Technologies

PANGYO, KOREA (November 23, 2020) – NCSOFT, a global premier game developer and publisher, revealed key information of the company’s K-POP entertainment platform, ‘UNIVERSE’.

UNIVERSE is an all-in-one platform that allows users to enjoy different fandom activities on mobile devices. The platform combines IT technologies such as artificial intelligence, voice synthesis, motion capture, and character scanning with entertainment content.

Users can enjoy different content, including, ▲‘Private Message & Call’ that users can receive a voice call from AI voice developed using artists’ actual voice at any time they want ▲'Studio,' which allows users to customize characters created based on artists’ motion capture and body scanning data, and produce a music video using these characters.

Different sections and systems are also available. ▲’Media’ provides exclusive content daily, including music video, pictorial, radio, and entertainment show ▲'Fan Network Service' allows fans and artists to communicate with each other freely ▲‘Content Creator’ produces and shares fan art and videos ▲’Collection’ provides compensation based on records from online and offline fandom activities.

NCSOFT also unveiled 11 artists who will join at the launch of UNIVERSE, including Kang Daniel, THE BOYZ, MONSTA X, Park Ji Hoon, CIX, ASTRO, IZ*ONE, AB6IX, ATEEZ, (G)I-DLE, and WJSN. The company will introduce more artists after the launch.

NCSOFT will be launching UNIVERSE in the global market earlier next year. The platform will be available in three languages: Korean, English, and Japanese. K-POP fans from 165 countries and continents, including Korea, North America, South America, Europe, Japan, and Southeast Asia joined pre-booking ahead of the launch.
